First Robbie, Then James

Almost a year ago, I became obsessed with Robbie Abed‘s content, especially video 8 and 11 in his ‘Coffee With Robbie’ video series , and started seeing how much he respected James Altucher.

I didn’t know what the big deal about James was; I didn’t bother to look him up either. That was a mistake because now that I’m becoming more and more obsessed with James’ content, I realize how much I missed out by not reading his posts or signing up for his newsletter about a year ago.

Yesterday I read about James’ 10 Life-Hacks, 10 Life-Habits, and 10 Meta-Habits and especially loved his stance on kindness (and lack thereof):

Kindness. Do it and reward it. Punish non-kindness.
If someone is not kind to me, then I back off. No matter who they are. I don’t even let family be not-kind to me.

James Altucher

In order to be successful (as defined by us, not our parents, neighbors, teachers, friends, etc.), we have to be comfortable saying NO and also handling NO.

What are some things you are willing to say NO to, so that you can be on your way to achieving greatness?
